Summary: 

This General Barn Maintenance position is a full-time role at Ebert Enterprises. An individual who can work independently and contribute to our team by providing upkeep to machinery/facilities would be an ideal fit.  

 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong attention to detail    
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, multi-task and adapt to change 
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment, hand tools, fabrication, lifts, etc.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English required, if able to communicate in Spanish the ask and expectation would be to assist with trainings and translation  
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, kneel, climb, stand and remain upright, walk, move, sit and remain stationary 
  • Awareness of your work environment to ensure safe work practices    

 

Work Relationships: 

Supervised by the Yard Manager. Works closely and maintains communication with the barn team, shop team, any individual requesting maintenance repair throughout the business.  

 

Duties:  

  • Safely work on and any repair needed in the barns, facilities, employee housing, etc.  
  • Diagnose problems, perform repairs, and complete documentation associated with repairs 
  • Maintenance includes yet is not limited to barn repair, housing needs, facility maintenance, etc.  
  • Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical issues 
  • Listen to and ask further questions to employee seeking the repair  
  • Provide preventative instructions to employee seeking the repair 
  • Practice self-management (is on-time, works at a reasonable pace, maintains internal motivation) 
  • Communicate work-related information with appropriate farm personnel 
  • Work as a team member to solve problems and improve work processes 
  • Work with co-workers in a friendly and professional manner 
  • Ability to weld and repair gates 
  • Repair and understand the operation of garage doors 

 

Perform other related duties as assigned.  

 

Work Schedule: 

Full-time hours on a Monday through Friday basis. Weekend rotation for Saturday and Sunday in another area of the farm.
